Marlin GovRec Record Limits
Marlin authorizes a GovRec municipal court route for ticket, status, and payment functions. A Marlin citation is not a Falls County felony file. Municipal Court of Record handles city ordinances, traffic matters, and fine-only Class C cases. A Class A or B misdemeanor normally moves to the Falls County Clerk at the courthouse. Felonies belong with the Falls County District Clerk and the 82nd Judicial District Court. The offense grade, filed charging instrument, and court named on a notice are better routing clues than the fact that the event happened inside Marlin.

Keep each number with its source. When a Marlin court entry is missing, call the issuing court before assuming the matter vanished. Marlin DWI Record Context
DPS lists Marlin Police as NIBRS-approved under ORI TX0730200. A 2025 state disposition-completeness report shows one narrow DWI reporting pipeline. For 2023 it lists 19 charges, 17 prosecution actions, and 16 court actions. For 2024 it lists 9 charges, 6 prosecution actions, and 3 court actions. These are not Marlin crime rates, arrest totals, or a measure of guilt. They show whether steps in a particular reporting stream reached the state system.
The difference among charge, prosecution, and court-action counts is useful when a state result appears incomplete. First verify the local Marlin or county file. Search timing matters. Contact Marlin Police and the jail for a recent event. Use the city court for a fine-only case and the correct Falls County clerk after formal charges are filed. DPS is the later repository layer, limited by public-release law and reporting status. City archives offer another legitimate reason to search Marlin records. The Texas Historical Commission documents the Falconer Home as an 1880 residence that first housed Stafford Military Academy until 1886, with a distinctive Doric temple facade.
