Privacy Policy

This policy describes the information produced during a visit, why it is used, and the limited circumstances in which another party may receive it. By using Falls County Criminal History, you accept the practices stated here.

Data You Give Us Directly

Search Queries

A name or location entered into a search box is sent to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. We do not keep or log those terms on our own systems.

Messages and Contact Submissions

An email submission is retained as needed to respond. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.

Data We Gather Automatically

Loading a page can cause the servers to receive routine technical information:

  • Page-view timestamps
  • Your device IP address
  • Browser name and version
  • Operating system and device category
  • Visited pages and time spent
  • A referring site, when supplied

Cookies and Analytics

Cookies are small files placed on a device. They and analytics services help aggregate traffic patterns, including popular pages and exit points. A browser can block cookies, although doing so may change how parts of the service work.

What We Do With This Data

  • Routing a submitted query to the selected search provider
  • Operating, maintaining, and speeding up the site
  • Finding and repairing technical faults
  • Understanding which pages visitors use
  • Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests

No Criminal-Record Data on File

We do not maintain, assemble, or sell a database of personal criminal records. The content identifies how to reach Falls County clerks, the sheriff, the Texas Department of Public Safety, and the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry. Texas Government Code Chapter 411 controls criminal-history dissemination, while the Texas Public Information Act in Government Code Chapter 552 governs requests for existing public records from covered offices. Visitor information is not used to build a record about another person or a consumer report under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Third-Party Search Partners

Outside companies operate the search boxes. Their own privacy rules govern submitted terms, retention, and sharing. Review the provider's policy before sending a query because this policy does not control its systems.

Links to Other Websites

Links may lead to Falls County offices, Texas agencies, courts, legal resources, and outside search services. Once a visitor follows one, the destination's policy applies. Read its terms before providing personal data.

Advertising partners may use their own systems to track activity across websites for targeted ads.

Who Might See Your Data

Personal data is not sold. It may be disclosed to:

  • Analytics providers measuring traffic and performance
  • Search partners receiving a query
  • Advertising networks placing site ads
  • A government or law-enforcement body acting under valid legal process

How We Protect Your Data

Standard safeguards are used for collected data. No internet system is completely secure, however, so we cannot promise that unauthorized access will never occur.

Users Under 18

The service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If such information is identified, it will be removed.

Your Data Rights

Texas consumer-protection law, including the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act in Business and Commerce Code Chapter 17, may provide rights based on the circumstances. The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act in Business and Commerce Code Chapter 541 may also apply to covered businesses and data. Subject to applicable law, you may:

  • Seek access to data held about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Ask for deletion where the law permits
  • Opt out of qualifying processing

Updates to This Policy

This policy may be revised. An updated version and effective date will appear here when the practices change.
